My mother Sheela Sharma is an actress and father Subhash Sharma is a producer-director. But I had a normal life while growing up and always kept myself grounded.
I am a big fan of A.R. Rahman and Mani Sharma, and I went to a shop to buy these music directors' CD. But I had only Rs 100, and Rahman's CD cost more, so I couldn't buy both. So I bought Rahman's CD and stole Mani Sharma's CD.
I have always had a good rapport with Kapil Sharma.
If you can’t get the wicket of Rohit Sharma, you are struggling in life
I had phenomenal parents. They kept me very grounded, and I lived a normal life.
As an actress I knew I had to control my weight gain somehow as any director or producer would like to sign in a svelte actress.
Anushka Sharma is a dear friend; as is Jacqueline Fernandez. They always stand by me for support when it’s needed
My father is an amazing person. While he was a huge star, he never carried his stardom home and always remained simple and just our father at home. I have four siblings, and we were all very grounded. We lived a very simple life: would go in an auto rickshaw to school, played with normal boys.
I am glad that break-up with Priyank Sharma happened as it made me understand things better.
When I was growing up, I dreamed about becoming a cowgirl, a detective, a spy, a great actress, or a ballerina. Not a dentist, like my father, or a homemaker, like my mother - and certainly not a writer, although I always loved to read.
I kept asking myself if I felt different, if I was different. The answer was always yes. I was no longer nothing… How odd, I thought; it had taken my mother’s death, Father Quinel’s murder, and the desire of others to kill me to claim a life of my own.
In 'Burrraah,' I play a teacher whose aim is to reform a bunch of rowdy boys. My character is very interesting and I chose this film for a Punjabi debut because of its story, script, screenplay and director, Sagar Sharma. I love the way he narrates a story.
My mother was an actress and a director, as well. And my father was a playwright and poet.
I come from a family of storytellers. Growing up, my father would make up these stories about how he and my mother met and fell in love, and my mother would tell me these elaborately visual stories of growing up as a kid in New York, and I was always so enrapt.
I don't want to be called one of Priyank Sharma's girlfriends.
