A Quote by Marianne Williamson

At midlife, you're pregnant with the best self you can be - someone who has learned enough from both successes and failures to add up to a fine human being. — © Marianne Williamson
At midlife, you're pregnant with the best self you can be - someone who has learned enough from both successes and failures to add up to a fine human being.
Note to self: being Kurt's son, being an ex-mental patient, getting into Harvard, having written a book, and being a doctor are all things that in and of themselves do not make a life. If you lean on them too hard, you'll find that there's not much there. But if you add up a lot of things that aren't in and of themselves enough, it almost starts to add up to something.
As athletes, we're defined by what we've accomplished. Those are what most people remember and what you get paid for. But I learned more from my failures than from all of my successes put together - failures as an athlete and as a person.
Life is a mixture of successes and failures. May you be encouraged by the successes and strengthened by the failures. As long as you never lose faith in God, you will be victorious over any situation you may face.
I've concluded that I learned far more from my failures than from my successes.
Your false self is always that which is passing away. Your true self doesn't go up or down, it's constant - it's a rock. Once you learn how to live there, what others say about you, your failures or successes - these don't send you on a roller coaster ride down or up. It's really the only way to peace. There's no other way to be peaceful except in the true self.
I just see the opportunities and I go for them. I don't want to play my career safe. I've had my successes and I've had a few failures, too. But you just keep going and do the best that you can. That's what I've learned.
As a youth, I hated myself for not being good enough. All my inadequacies and failures, not being kind enough, generous or understanding enough, would assail me at night. It became a habit to be guilty and self castigating, not liking myself because I was unworthy... I really tortured myself.
I think I have learned that the best way to lift one's self up is to help someone else.
My best successes came on the heels of failures.
I have had many successes and many failures in my life. My successes have always been for different reasons, but my failures have always been for the same reason: I said yes when I meant no.
Being pregnant is not license to forget all the rules that you abide by when you're not pregnant. Moving your body, getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, and eating proper foods throughout the day are even more important when you're pregnant.
Stringent standards of self-evaluation [can] make otherwise objective successes seem to be personal failures
Your failures and misfortunes don't threaten other people. . .It's your assets and your successes that are problems for people who derive their self-esteem from being superior.
America needs to fully grasp the lessons learned from our history of fighting radical jihadists. There have been successes and failures.
The problem is that most people focus on their failures rather than their successes. But the truth is that most people have many more successes than failures.
My imperfections and failures are as much a blessing from God as my successes and my talents and I lay them both at his feet.
