A Quote by Mary Russell Mitford

[On Elizabeth Barrett Browning:] ... for finish, and melody of versification, there is nothing approaching to Miss Barrett in this day, or in any other - also for diction. Her words paint.
That little burning bush that is the signature of the blog - it echoes Elizabeth Barrett Browning's words.
[On Elizabeth Barrett Browning:] Her sweetness of character is even beyond her genius.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning could write a poem two pages long. Could she have brought it to a music publisher?
There's a line in The Barretts of Wimpole Street - you know, the play - where Elizabeth Barrett is trying to work out the meaning of one of Robert Browning's poems, and she shows it to him, and he reads it and he tells her when he wrote that poem, only God and Robert Browning knew what it meant, and now only God knows. And that's how I feel about studying English. Who knows what the writer was thinking, and why should it matter? I'd rather just read for enjoyment.
Twice Flush had done his utmost to kill his enemy; twice he had failed. And why had he failed, he asked himself? Because he loved Miss Barrett. Looking up at her from under his eyebrows as she lay, severe and silent on the sofa, he knew that he must love her for ever. Things are not simple but complex. If he bit Mr. Browning he bit her too. Hatred is not hatred; hatred is also love.
I think I am the Elizabeth Barrett of 2015. Not in terms of genius but in bed a lot.
The actual people who did the singing, which is Marcia Barrett and myself, didn't get any credit.
You know, I get recognized for Turk Barrett probably more than any of my other roles, even more than the 'Stranger Things' role.
The trouble with Earl Barrett is that he's one paced .... Zooommmmm.
I miss my father. I miss my grandfather. I miss my home. And I miss my mother. But the thing is, for almost three years, I managed not to miss any of them. And then I spent that one day with that one girl. One day ... It was like she gave me her whole self, and somehow as a result, I gave her more of myself than I even realized there was to give. But then she was gone. And only after I'd been filled up by her, by that day, did I understand how empty I really was.
I think Bad News Barrett was a lot of fun.
Wade Barrett is a lot of things, but he certainly is not a loser.
I like Wade Barrett a lot. I think he has tons of potential.
I used to watch guys like Andre Barrett, Omar Cook.
I've always been a prog rock fanatic, even before Vengeance. However I think I started to love the genre with Pink Floyd, yeah. I love them from the very beginning, also the Syd Barrett era.
I'll let the record [Who You Selling For] speak for itself. I don't want to get too in-depth with my personal opinions of it and where the songs came from because I think it messes with the listener to know the inside mindset of the writer. For example, I watched a Pink Floyd documentary the other day, and I learned that "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" was about [frontman] Syd Barrett. I didn't want to know that!
