I'm kind of naturally thin, so if I were to completely crash diet, I'd almost be too skinny, and for the VS show, you want to look strong and muscular and fit. Leading up to the show, I eat everything that I normally do, but I moderate it.
I'm not scared of any other player, but I normally know the quality of the others and try to be ready before the game. But I don't forget my own style to play soccer.
There's been someone up here screaming 'Landslide' for the whole show... Normally we don't play 'Landslide,' but on occasion we've been known to play it... So since this person's been screaming it all show long... That just about kills the chances of me playing it tonight, or ever again.
Normally, when I write the setlist for a Dream Theater show, I'll change it up every night, and we can basically play whatever we want.

I just try to stay fit. That's important - just to try to stay physically fit so you can go out there and play. You do need to be in reasonable shape.

A good play is a good play. If you want to chalk up your rejection letters to the fact that you're a woman, that's your choice. But often you get a rejection letter because your play isn't ready. Or the time isn't ready for your play. And that has nothing to do with gender.
The worst part about not playing is when you think that you are ready to do it. You try to get more minutes, taking the chances, but you end up in a situation where things have not gone well for you for weeks - or for years. That is like swimming wet clothes.
You can't play this game without being fit, and without being mentally fit and ready.
You have to finish the season strong and you have to come out ready to play regardless of the situation you're in.
We were pretty darn good - fit and ready to play - but today's level is different. Those ground strokes are ever so much faster, coming back at you at a pretty good speed. Footwork-wise, you've got to be ready to hit that next shot. It's a tough time.
I'm one of those guys if I'm 100 percent and fit and ready for the tournament, I play very good tennis.
Normally when we play against Brazil, we will just try to stop them from winning.
