I'm staying focused on what I do on the pitch. What happens off it, it's nice, of course, but football is what I'm most passionate about. — © Matteo Guendouzi

At United, they teach me about things off the pitch as well, how to deal with stuff with your family and how to be a man. That part is very important, not just the football side but off the pitch as well.
I think you need to know how to seperate what happens on the pitch from off-the-pitch matters.
Of course, in the end it is all about what happens on the pitch, but it helps to have all the fans behind you.
It's just staying focused and working hard; that's all I've ever done. I was fortunate enough that things worked out for me. It doesn't happen all the time, but I don't let bumps in the road throw me off course.
If people are good off the pitch, of course on the pitch it will be easier to play.
It's all about the chairman, listening to what he wants to do with the football club on and off the pitch.
Football is about sacrifice, dedication, a lot of work, and friendship off the pitch.
On the pitch, I try to be focused and calm and think positive. That's my attitude towards football.
Don't fall for the trap. Stay focused. It's about staying focused but at the same time God is the greatest, pray it up.
Of course, stuff happens off the ball in any football match. Standing on people's toes, pinching, hair pulling, punching in the back.
I do need to focus on playing my football and what's happening on the pitch rather than off it... I want to be myself and not think about it.
I think the whole definition of a geek is somebody being passionate and focused, and being proud of saying that they're passionate and focused, on a narrow range of subjects.
