You can think about only what you know, so you ought to learn something; on the other hand, you can know only what you have thought about.
Spiritual people are not those who engage in certain spiritual practices; they are those who draw their life from a conversational relationship with God.
It is right that you should begin again every day. There is no better way to complete the spiritual life than to be ever beginning it over again.
You must know the difference between imagination, theoretical knowledge and true realization. Could you nourish yourself by only listening to a talk on food? To know food only theoretically is to always remain hungry. You must eat to satisfy hunger. So he who seeks new doctrines continuously but does not put them into practice in his life is in continual spiritual starvation.
The spiritual life is the real life; all else is illusion and deception. Only those who are attached to God alone are truly free. Only those who live up to the highest light live in harmony. All who act upon their highest motivations become a power for good. It is not important that others be noticeably affected: results should never be sought or desired. Know that every right
thing you do - every good word you say - every positive thought you think - has good effect.
Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge, to guide the spiritual in the human being to the spiritual in the universe... Anthroposophists are those who experience, as an essential need of life, certain questions on the nature of the human being and the universe, just as one experiences hunger and thirst.
