A Quote by Michelle Trachtenberg

I was always wanting to learn and be one of those actresses who can actually hold a conversation as opposed to standing there looking pretty. — © Michelle Trachtenberg
I was always wanting to learn and be one of those actresses who can actually hold a conversation as opposed to standing there looking pretty.
That's a really sad moment. When people in a democracy are afraid of having the conversation, because it might actually lead to a conclusion they don't like, as opposed to saying, let's have the conversation, and let's learn, and, you know, let's, let me try to persuade you, and if I'm not persuading you, then you try to persuade me. That's what we hope for.
I'm finding out what part of punk culture or white indie culture I actually still want to hold onto - What are the values? What are the contributions that I actually like? - and it not coming from a place of desperation or wanting to be embraced or wanting approval, essentially.
To actually feel like you've done something good with your life and you're useful to others is what I was always wanting, and was always looking for.
I am looking for strong characters rather than being just a pretty girl. Actresses can do so much more than looking good.
Britney Spears can't hold a conversation. (mind controlled) The ultimate meltdown was Britney Spears. But she (Spears) can't hold a conversation. No. They have someone who feeds her what she is supposed to say. Like she can't hold a conversation.
I think about that "empty" space a lot. That emptiness is what allows for something to actually evolve in a natural way. I've had to learn that over the years - because one of the traps of being an artist is to always want to be creating, always wanting to produce.

I quite like to, y'know, chill and catch a vibe where you can actually talk, as opposed to standing on the floor in the club.
My first day of 'This Morning' was pretty wow, and I think that was just because it was a big huge deal for me. I'd always said 'This Morning' was my dream job so to actually get it and actually be standing there and saying 'Hello, welcome to 'This Morning'... ' that was a big moment.
I actually love actresses who look like they feel really natural. I like Patricia Clarkson, Laura Linney, Frances McDormand. Those are actresses where the second they show up on screen you're like, oh my gosh, this movie just got so much better.
I would absolutely love to do something with Viola Davis or Meryl Streep. I just think both of those women fall so deep into their characters that you are no longer looking at the actresses, you are looking at the characters they embraced.
There is nowhere to go. What you are looking for is right here. Open the fist clenched in wanting and see what you already hold in your hand
You’ll fail at some things, that’s a learning experience that you need so that you can take that on to the next experience... What you learn from those challenges and those failures are what will get you past the next ones... I was the pretty consistent bull and the cheerleader on eBay actually.
I spend most of my life not wanting to be found, and actually, I'm pretty good at it.
Any person who has spent time outdoors actually doing something, such as hunting and fishing as opposed to standing there with a doobie in his mouth, knows nature is not intrinsically healthy.
You don't learn to hold your own in the world by standing on guard, but by attacking, and getting well hammered yourself.
