Movies cater to what the audiences want. — © Michelle Yeoh
Movies cater to what the audiences want.
I want to make films that cater to the world audiences.
What's very important for me is that I want family audiences - all kinds of audiences - to watch my films, and the more people who watch the movies, the better. So I want to be part of popular cinema.
In the olden days films used to become huge hits because of family audiences. But nowadays certain films cater to youth audience and once that is exploited then the film stops. and some films are for a mature audience. My aim is to satisfy all the sections of the audiences.
A lot of people are deeply dissatisfied by the diminishing control they have over their lives, because of the way our system of government is set up, to cater to the powerful, cater to the wealthy, cater to the corporations, and not to the individual American citizen.
Minimalism seems closest to the sophisticated storytelling of movies. Movies have really educated contemporary audiences to be the most intelligent, sophisticated audiences in history. We don't any longer need to have the relationship between one scene and the next explained. We will figure it out ourselves.
Audiences want to see intelligent movies.
I make movies that audiences like, that I'd want to see. That's all.
'Service Wali Bahu,' like most other serials, cater to women audiences and is aimed at smaller towns where people are home by sunset.
I struggle on many fronts on having to move to a different level, having to cater to constantly evolving audiences.
In the '50s, audiences accepted a level of artifice that the audiences in 1966 would chuckle at. And the audiences of 1978 would chuckle at what the audience of 1966 said was okay, too. The trick is to try to be way ahead of that curve, so they're not chuckling at your movies 20 years down the line.
Since most of our films cater to crossover audiences, I think it's time we make films for multilingual viewers.
I think audiences have always wanted to see women in the movies, but every time a movie like 'Bridesmaids' comes out, everyone says, 'Oh how funny, people do want to see women in the movies.'
Movies are a fad. Audiences really want to see live actors on a stage.
I don't make movies because I think audiences will want to go see them.
That's all I ever do, just try and do the best I can and cater to the song, cater to the music.
I've always tried to make movies that pull the audience out of their seats... I want audiences to be transported.
