I stopped performing because I don't have the temperament of a performer. You have to want to do the same thing over and over again. Once I got it right, I didn't want to do it again. I always use the analogy of a novelist who has to read his novel in public night after night. I just didn't want to do it.
I learn something not because I have to, but because I really want to. That's the same view I have for performing. I'm performing because I really want to, not because I have to bring bread back home.
You have to be careful when you time a move to one of the biggest clubs. Occasionally, these young players do not realise what a good thing they are on to when they know that they will be playing every week.

So, it's a delicate thing, but at the same time our producers and writers are very much aware of the potential downfall that could ensue so I think they're going to be very careful about how they do that. In the future, I'd like to break more into acting and stuff. I think that pro wrestling is a great springboard, really. You see a lot of guys coming from that world. In a lot of ways, it's like live theater. Guys going out there and performing and having to act on the fly and be their own stuntmen at the same time.
Performing is really close to being in studio but performing takes over because being in the studio is two things; the first thing is that it is really beautiful to improvise and jam, but afterwards it becomes hard because it's very rare that a song will come together quickly. Most of the time it's back and forth and trial and error. You start questioning whether the song is good or not. So that can be quite tough.
My thing is, I want to play basketball, I would enjoy playing in the D-League, but at the same time I don't want to take an opportunity away from a young guy to get exposure. I'm still thinking about it.
