A Quote by Millie Bright

Top players now will get bonuses for winning competitions or reaching various stages of them, scoring goals, or keeping clean sheets, but most don't play football for the money, because it's not been in the game that long. They do it for the love of playing.
Football has been good to me. Everyone has their destiny but you have to make use of the opportunities. I have spent 15 years at the top of my game. It makes me happy. I love the game. I love scoring goals. But I have always taken it seriously. It is not what the game gives you, it is what you give it.

You know what I think? Very few people play because they love the game. Most of them play because they make good money. They keep playing because of the money. I could care less about it. If I don't love the game, no check is going to keep me playing.
Football is now all about money. There are problems with the values within the game. This is sad because football is the most beautiful game. We can play it in the street. We can play it everywhere.
So if one day the result becomes 3-3, for me it doesn't change my mind, because it's football, it's normal. What is not normal is that we haven't been scoring enough goals playing such good football as we've been playing in the last few weeks.
I don't know why we aren't scoring as we're keeping clean sheets.
If you look at Arsenal today, I really enjoy watching them play - they play some really good football - but that is not enough to win football matches or to win competitions. But in our time, we were winning, and we had the strength to not play well but somehow manage to win the game 1-0.
I have to be scoring goals and playing well to get in the team because, if not, others who are in better form will play.
I prefer scoring goals, but when I am playing out on the right, I tend to come inside and provide assists, but I also like playing on the left, and I think if that is where I play, then I will have more chance of scoring - but I just hope I can help the team score goals with my assists.
I've been playing football for a long time and I love to play this game.
If, say, a striker knows that scoring 30 goals in a season will lead to them winning a prestigious award then they will try that little bit harder because, regardless of what players may say, individual recognition on the world stage is important.
Scoring goals is a great feeling, but the most important thing to me is that the team is successful - it doesn't matter who scores the goals as long as we're winning.
People get confused because we all make a lot of money and it seems crazy to the general public, but this is something that we all love to do. We play this game because we love it and if we didn't get paid for it, most of us probably would still be playing.
The way I look at myself, the biggest achievement in my eyes - forget winning trophies or scoring in World Cups - is that I'm still at a top club playing at a really high standard having been almost two different players.
When you're a kid you want to be a striker, you want to be scoring goals. I still want to be scoring goals! It's the easiest part of football, no it's not, it's the best part of football - the one you enjoy the most. But I always knew that my particular skill set was more suited to being a goalkeeper.
You have to attack to get corners, no? Winning by scoring strategic goals doesn't bother me - it's part of the game.
