A Quote by Ned Lamont

The success we are seeing in Connecticut's education system is credited to the amazing teachers, faculty, staff, volunteers, and parents who dedicate themselves to the next generation of students.
The teachers were focused on helping these students. The students benefited from hands-on teaching and a faculty who cared about them and their success in life and soon the students began to believe in themselves and the reality that they could make something of their lives.
Teachers teach and students educate. Students are the only true educators. Historically, every other method of education has failed. Education occurs when students get excited about learning and apply themselves; students do this when they experience great teachers.
The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way schools function in nearly every capacity, and I am proud of the way Connecticut's education officials, teachers, and staff have been able to respond in order to ensure that students continue to receive a quality education.
That generation really has to fight for a new political language, social movements, and alliances with students from other countries. They have to convince labor, parents, and the general public that the fight over higher education is a fight that benefits everyone in a sustainable democracy and not just faculty and students.
I will comprehensively review the education system with my team to create a stable, caring, and inspiring environment for students, parents, teachers, and principals.
Consciousness-based education, which I am helping to promote, is basically the same education that good schools are giving today with Transcendental Meditation added for the students, teachers, staff, and principal.
The educational system in the US was a highly predictable victim of the neoliberal reaction, guided by the maxim of "private affluence and public squalor." Funding for public education has sharply declined. As higher education is driven to a business model in accord with neoliberal doctrine, administrative bureaucracy has sharply increased at the expense of faculty and students. Cost-cutting leads to hyper-exploitation of the more vulnerable, creating a new precariat of graduate students and adjuncts surviving on a bare pittance, replacing tenured faculty.
Zip codes might be great for sorting mail, but they should not determine the quality of a child s education or success in the future workforce," said Bob Wise, president of the Alliance for Excellent Education and former governor of West Virginia. "With common standards and assessments, students, parents, and teachers will have a clear, consistent understanding of the skills necessary for students to succeed after high school and compete with peers across the state line and across the ocean.
I'm grateful for the educators and administrators who have helped make charter schools available to students and parents, and look forward to their continued success in educating America's next generation of leaders.
Public education for some time has been heavily focused on what curricula we believe will be helpful to students. Life-Enriching Education is based on the premise that the relationship between teachers and students, the relationships of students with one another, and the relationships of students to what they are learning are equally important in preparing students for the future.
Our teachers are responsible for our children's welfare for the six or eight hours they are at school and we need to know without question that their safety will be paramount on the minds of teachers, faculty and volunteers.
By letting parents and students decide what is best for them, our education system is working the way it should be - equipping students with skills to succeed.
Education leaders must have the will at times to release leadership to the teachers the parents and the students.
Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students.
To me, bringing mindfulness-bas ed practices to students, teachers and parents is some of the most important work we can be doing. If we can help the next generation become more self-aware, empathetic and emotionally resilient, they will bring their wisdom to healing the earth and creating a more peaceful world.
Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.
