I really got into keeping fit during my Miss India days.
I used to body build six or seven days a week. I was really, really fit. I wasn't naturally talented but I was fanatical at it. That's the problem with me, I've got a one-track mind.
When I was at the Miss India competition, I was just trying to learn. It was all very new for me, and I was wondering where do I fit in. But it is about enjoying the whole journey.
I've got twins and a lovely wife and a great life and I don't want to miss that. So if I'm going to miss that it's got to be for something really good.
If I miss one day of practice, I notice it. If I miss two days, the critics notice it. If I miss three days, the audience notices it.
I got into the movies by accident. When I got an offer, I thought, 'Let's try this, too.' Everything in my life has happened by trial and error. I didn't even think I would win the Miss India title, so where's the question of thinking I'd come this far.
Keeping it all normal and keeping us together is my first priority. Then I fit films into my life.
When I miss class for one day, I know it. When I miss class for two days, my teacher knows it. When I miss class for three days, the audience knows it.
I think it's quite great to set yourself a big challenge, and then you've got another reason for keeping fit.

Keeping fit is really important as playing football is all I've ever wanted to do.
I remember I was a dark horse at Miss Universe. No one saw Miss India coming from a mile and suddenly there she was!
I've always had a glam squad to do my makeup because of Miss India and Miss World, so I never really learned much about doing it myself, unfortunately. I do try to pick up what I can, though! The most incredible product that has ever been discovered in makeup, according to me, is mascara.
If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I'd probably move back to Louisiana. I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple. There's no traffic like there is in L.A. It's really nice.
I miss the hot spots. I miss the hospital calls. I miss the nursing homes. I miss the really intimate human contact with other people, which I did nothing to earn.
You know, on the road, I never miss a meal. I eat five, six, seven times a day, depending on when I wake up and when I got to sleep. I never miss a training day. I always get my four days out of my seven.
The Golcondas were considered incomparably the best team in Southern India ... [But] we defeated [them] by 9 goals to 3. On succeeding days we made short work of all other opponents, and established the record, never since broken, of winning a first-class tournament within fifty days of landing in India.
