NXT women have literally changed women's wrestling, and being able to be a part of the division is great for me.
The NXT women are changing the way women's wrestling is viewed. It's an inspiration to be able to watch.
It's really exciting to be a part of the Women's Division here in NXT.
I'm at the forefront of the NXT women's division, and it's really humbling to think that I'm not just a part of this new era but that I'm the leader of it.
I know people are going to be surprised to hear me say this because they think I'm such an advocate for women's wrestling... But I truly believe that the best time in wrestling, for me, was when I first got into WWE and they had a strong women's division and they also had girls who strengths weren't in the ring and were more for entertainment.
I would say at leaner times in the women's division, I feel like there were certain girls who tried to keep the torch going for women's wrestling. If I was one of those women then I feel like I did my job.
I trained with a locker room and roster full of men, and we were all a family, and they all took care of me like their little sister. It's what I want out of a locker room. I think it helps the locker room, and it's a part of the success of the NXT women's division.
Before Lita, women weren't doing moonsaults, hurricanrana, and other high-flying maneuvers. I think she really changed the game in the women's division.
Ring of Honor are really investing time and effort into the women's division and things have been great, especially being able to tour with them across the US, Canada, overseas.
Emma gave me some of my favorite matches - the NXT Women's Tournament and then NXT ArRIVAL.
NXT has been great to me. I love being able to wrestle the way I want to wrestle and be who I want to be. NXT is this amazing platform to do that.
Lifelong wrestling fans who are discovering NXT and being like, 'Wait, this is the kind of wrestling I used to like,' or, 'I like this' - it's succinct. It's an hour long. You've got some great wrestlers, and you've got great storytelling, and it's simple, and it's gritty.
We need to encourage more women to write roles for other women. The great substantive roles aren't being written for women and aren't being produced and directed by women.
Women's role in the household has changed since the women's movement. I don't know if women's role outside the household has changed. I mean, are more women mowing lawns and fixing shingles and doing electrical work and plumbing?
But as much as I am personally proud for winning five championships, I'm equally proud just being part of a women's division that has gotten so much better with all these great athletes here.
It feels like a whole other brand onto itself, and I know for the girls - and just speaking for myself - being at NXT has been such an amazing experienc, and I feel so accomplished here as wrestling as a woman and just showing fans that women can do it better than the men.
How do I think the industry's changed? Films have changed a lot. I think women are finally able to get older and be sexy just like men. So I'm really enjoying that part - that's my evolution.
