Doing the Yumi cmapign has shown me lots of different looks I'd not tried before.
I keep myself content by doing lots of different stuff and make sure that my next role is completely different to the last. I just enjoy the versatility of it, the challenge of doing lots of different things. It keeps the job interesting.
Before Jem looks at anyone else he looks at me, and I’ve tried to live so I can look squarely back at him.
I like to keep a broad scope and read lots of different things with lots of different types of characters. Doing that is going to help develop me as an actor; you push yourself.
There was a time in my life when I tried a lot of different things, different looks. Between the ages of 17 and 22, there were a lot of bad looks. But I guess you learn from your mistakes. After that, I kind of found my style and what I like to wear.
If this thing's hushed up it'll be a simple denial to Jem of the way I've tried to raise him. Sometimes I think I'm a total failure as a parent, but I'm all they've got. Before Jem looks at anyone else he looks at me, and I've tried to live so I can look squarely back at him.. if I connived at something like this, frankly I couldn't meet his eye, and the day I can't do that I'll know I've lost him. I don't want to lose him and Scout, because they're all I've got.
If there's any message to my work, it is ultimately that it's OK to be different, that it's good to be different, that we should question ourselves before we pass judgment on someone who looks different, behaves different, talks different, is a different color.
I got involved in lots of different areas round about 2007, 2008. Just working with lots of different people and stretching myself in different ways. I was working on art projects and working with other writers, just doing bits and pieces, trying to keep busy.
I really chose a path after 'Grown Ups' of doing different things that I hadn't tried before, and just trying to take on those challenges.
We moved a lot. I went to nine schools in four states before I was 14. It gave me tough skin, exposed me to lots of different kinds of people and made me somewhat adaptable.
Earlier I`ve done hatever I could get my hands on to do for a living. I tried a couple of different things, but kitchen work was the best for me, because I took to a nomadic lifestyle before I started doing comedy. If you travel and get to a town and need a job, restaurants are always there.
There are lots and lots of different films that I love, and watching different characters and how different people play them.
We tried - we tried for a year, and we tried different methods and different - and I had in vitro and it didn't work. It didn't stick. It didn't - didn't produce a baby at all.
I find that putting my makeup on and playing with different looks is really relaxing for me before the show.
I'm almost 60. I've been doing this for a while. In order to do this for that long, you have to make decisions based on lots and lots of different criteria, you know. I mean, the criteria has to shift, especially if you're an actress.
If western culture is shown to be rich it is because, even before the Enlightenment, it has tried to "dissolve" harmful simplifications through inquiry and the critical mind.
