Commitments the voters don't know about can't hurt you. — © Ogden Nash
Commitments the voters don't know about can't hurt you.
Part of the problem is voters know relatively little about Romney. And some of what they know about him complicates his task: Romney has a history of flip-flopping on issues, he's extraordinarily wealthy, and he can be tone-deaf about what moves voters. He just doesn't seem comfortable in his skin.
I think primary voters have a right to know. And Donald's Trump excuse of it that he's being audited, look, that makes it even more important for him to release his taxes, so that voters can see if there is - Mitt Romney suggested there could be a bombshell there. I don't know if there is or not. But Donald is hiding them from the voters, and I think he owes candor to the voters.
Commitments present themselves in delineations of black and white. You either honor your commitments or you don't. Success is the result of making and keeping commitments to your self and others, while all failed or unfinished goals, projects and relationships are the direct result of broken commitments. Trust is about keeping commitments, but in many instances, circumstances change and organizations therefore shed commitments, things such as retiree medical benefits, pension obligations, and even employees without much remorse or maybe even hesitation.
My advice is to listen and accept the will of the American people, the Republican voters. The Republican Party is the Republican voters, and Republican voters oppose these trade agreements more than Democrat voters do.
When Democrats concede the idea that some voters are not our voters, we shouldn't be surprised when those voters agree.
Even though voters overwhelmingly dislike negative ads, they do influence voters' opinions about a candidate.
Integrity is keeping my commitments even if the circumstances when I made those commitments have changed.
It is of considerable importance that politicians stick to their commitments or do not make such commitments in the first place.
If we can't make and keep commitments to ourselves as well as to others, our commitments become meaningless.
I think Russia affected the perceptions and views of millions of voters at the last presedent election, we now know. I think that their intention coming from the very top with Vladimir Putin was to hurt me and to help Donald Trump.
The idea that UN commitments should be followed by action is indeed a radical one, especially for the United States, where wilful neglect of its own commitments is the rule.
With my resignation, I... left unfulfilled commitments I made to many comrades in the fight, commitments I hold sacred. My service did not end as I would have wished.
