TV and film are always slipping in political messages, not ones designed to bring us together but to divide us. — © Orson Bean
TV and film are always slipping in political messages, not ones designed to bring us together but to divide us.
A citizen walking through the airport today is bombarded with 1984-style propaganda messages that are designed to make us fear some amorphous threat and also be suspicious of others. The government designs these messages to make us feel dependent and heavily lorded over in every aspect of our lives. These messages are becoming ever more pervasive, hitting us even in grocery stores when we are shopping.
I actually believe that Florida and its rich diversity are going to be looking for a governor who's going to bring us together, not divide us. Not misogynist, not racist, not bigots.
Politics - I don't know why, but they seem to have a tendency to separate us, to keep us from one another, while nature is always and ever making efforts to bring us together.
Jesus made it possible for us to have the peace that passes all understanding-the kind that carries us, stabilizes us, grounds us, and keeps us from slipping.
As citizens of this great nation, it is kindness, love, and compassion for each other that will bring us together - and keep us together. These are the values Donald and I will bring to the White House.
When your goal is to bring together the country in a substantive way to say that we're united by values and more - that are - you know, stronger than the things that divide us. That could be a moment.
The freedom message brings us together, it doesn't divide us.
I don't know the accident of still being married. I was the worst human being. But we were, I guess, in love. So much has happened to us to bring us together and keep us together.
Our family was always together. Whenever Kakaji needed something or wanted to discuss some issue, he would always bring it up with us. Certain things happened that brought us closer.
I intend to talk about race during this election in the South because the Republicans have been talking about it since 1968 in order to divide us. And I'm going to bring us together. Because you know what? You know what? White folks in the South who drive pickup trucks with Confederate flag decals in the back ought to be voting with us and not them, because their kids don't have health insurance either and their kids need better schools too.
Let us wage a moral and political war against the gross wealth and income inequality... ...let us understand that when we stand together, we will always win.
Nothing will divide this nation more than ignorance, and nothing can bring us together better than an educated population.
The E.U. Referendum clearly divided us, and little has been done by those that lead us to bring us back together.
President Obama, when he was elected, he could have been a unifying figure. He could have chosen to be a leader on race relations and bring us together. And he hasn't done that, he's made decisions that I think have inflamed racial tensions that have divided us rather than bringing us together.
The universe is always speaking to us... sending us little messages, causing coincidences and serendipities, reminding us to stop, to look around, to believe in something else, something more.
