One immutable trait of the gullible is that they are credulous to a fault. Though no-doubt well-meaning, the naive are Trump's base.
I'm so gullible. I'm so damn gullible. And I am so sick of me being gullible.
Most of Trump's support is not the conservative base. It's all over the spectrum. He's got support from women, Hispanics, blue-collar Democrats, the old Reagan Democrats. The demographic support that Trump has is what the Republican Party claims it wants. Meanwhile, the Republican Party is running around saying they want to win the nomination without the conservative base, without the pro-lifers, without the social issues crowd. Well, that's Trump.
I had been gullible, naive, soft, pliable. That's why I got taken advantage of. To survive, you have to have a tough skin.
I tend to be naive and gullible, I guess, but I try to believe that governments believe what they say.
Trump base is solid, and there's nothing the media can do to break it. There's not a single thing they can do. They are never gonna give that up, either. They are doing everything they can to split up Trump supporters from Trump. Only Trump can do that. The media didn't make Trump and, as I repeatedly say, they can't bust him.
Doubt is a very important trait. Out of doubt comes thinking, decisions, choices. We learn stuff. We learn to make mistakes. Or not to.
Well, first of all, I'm an incredibly gullible person - I'm so bad that when I said that to someone, my friend said, 'You know, 'gullible' isn't even in the dictionary.' And I said, 'Really?' As I was saying 'Really?' I will acknowledge that I then realized what was happening, but that's how bad I am.
I doubt not God is good, well-meaning, kind
The Democrats do not have their key agenda items do not have massive public support, and their attempts to destroy Donald Trump have failed. All of them. So all they can do now - the only thing they've got - is to split Trump's base away from Trump and that's what all of this today is.
What I love about 'Big Hero 6', with Baymax himself - this sentient creature who's actually a learning robot - with each experience, this naive and gullible creature becomes more aware of issues.
People in the media often tend to assume it`s like Trump and [Ted] Cruz fighting over the same voters but when you look at the people who say they`re voting for Donald Trump he does as well with voters who describe themselves as moderate or liberal as he does with voters who themselves as very conservative. So, not all the Trump base would go to Cruz as a second choice.
Nice doesn't mean 'naive.' Nice doesn't mean 'gullible.' In my job, one of the most important things to be is decisive and firm.
(`Stairway to Heaven' is) a nice pleasant, well-meaning naive little song, very English. It's not the definitive Led Zeppelin song. `Kashmir' is.
There are people who think that Trump's base was created by Steve Bannon - they are Alt-Right white nationalists and so forth - and that if Bannon ever turned on Trump, that everybody that voted for Trump would abandon Trump if Bannon leaves. I think that's just so much BS, I can't tell you, and so does people who voted for Trump.
All that is base in the masses is temporary, no doubt serving only to prevent evolution (that of the elite, as well) from proceeding too quickly and thus not becoming 'reality.'
I think it's amusing to watch a naive, well-meaning character kind of undo more cynical characters - kind of like watching Laurel and Hardy or Charlie Chaplin.
