Forgiveness provides hope, joy, and a bright future that nothing else can. — © Paul J. Meyer
Forgiveness provides hope, joy, and a bright future that nothing else can.
We were like gods at the dawning of the world, & our joy was so bright we could see nothing else but the other.
That we can never know," answered the wolf angrily. "That's for the future. But what we can know is the importance of what we owe to the present. Here and now, and nowhere else. For nothing else exists, except in our minds. What we owe to ourselves, and to those we're bound to. And we can at least hope to make a better future, for everything.

There are two kinds of loss of hope, one is the feeling when your pulse slows down and you are going to die, and there's nothing else left. The other loss of hope is when you're living in a country which becomes insecure, and you don't know what the future is. That's existential.
If you feel "stuck" today, you may want to examine what you're holding on to. Be willing let go of past disappointments by choosing forgiveness. Who hurt you? Who wronged you? Release it to God. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to receive God's forgiveness? Let go of the past so you can overcome disappointments and experience the bright future God has in store for you! There is freedom in forgetting!
Mystery has great power. In the many years I have worked with people with cancer, I have seen Mystery comfort people when nothing else can comfort them and offer hope when nothing else offers hope. I have seen Mystery heal fear that is otherwise unhealable. For years I have watched people in their confrontation with the unknown recover awe, wonder, joy, and aliveness. They have remembered that life is holy, and they have reminded me as well. In losing our sense of Mystery, we have become a nation of burned-out people. People who wonder do not burn out.
Nothing in the Christian life is more important than forgiveness-our forgiveness of others and God's forgiveness of us.
Blue is bright and gives us hope for the future.
The Gospel offers forgiveness for the past, new life for the present, and hope for the future.

Joy is the true gift of Christmas, and we can communicate this joy simply: with a smile, a kind gesture, a little help, forgiveness. And the joy we give will certainly come back to us.
And as far as false hope, there is no such thing. There is only hope or the absence of hope - nothing else.

Nothing else wounds so deeply and irreparably. Nothing else robs us of hope so much as being unloved by one we love
