If things sometimes get tough, you can't ask yourself what impact it's having on you. It isn't an option. — © Peer Steinbruck
If things sometimes get tough, you can't ask yourself what impact it's having on you. It isn't an option.
And hey, it's okay to laugh at yourself sometimes, I do dumb things all the time (haha). But when it get's too personal, get your tough skin on and stand firm.
It's tough because sometimes you'll just be on the web and things pop up or you get emailed something from a friend. It is definitely impossible to avoid stuff about me sometimes, but it's pretty important to try. It's very rare that things are true about yourself that are on the Internet. It's just sad sometimes. And once you get there, only then you can allow yourself to start thinking how you are going to play in the playoffs against other teams. And a lot is left to chance then. There's an element of luck as well: sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you do not.
The first freedom is to be in possession of yourself - to own yourself, to not be subject to the will of somebody else. In a capitalist society, that means having a certain economic wherewithal so that you can do what you wish to do without having to ask permission.
When companies are growing quickly and they are having a lot of impact, careers take care of themselves.... If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on.
