As a journalist, one tends to think there's nothing off limits.
There is nothing that's off limits. If people think something is off limits, I make it my business to go make a joke about it; that's my job.
I think it's a comedian's job to make everything funny. Nothing is off-limits.
If you're a journalist - and I think, on some level, I'm a journalist, and proud to be a journalist, or a documentarian, however you want to describe it - part of what I do has to be the pursuit of the truth.
In the cage, you can't say, 'Oh wait, that's off limits.' There's no timeouts, there's no substitutions and there's no saying my knee is off limits. This is a full contact sport.
The notion of political correctness has ignited controversy across the land. And although the movement arises from the laudable desire to sweep away the debris of racism and sexism and hatred it replaces old prejudices with new one. It declares certain topics off-limits, certain expressions off-limits, even certain gestures off-limits. What began as a crusade for civility has soured into a cause of conflict and even censorship.
For me, nothing is off limits.

I am really interested in storytelling in general - nothing is off-limits!
I pretty much do whatever I want when it comes to music and nothing is off limits to me.
I'd go for "really great writer." Although I don't think I am. I know I have a style which is recognizable. I think you can see Terry Pratchett in every book. I like doing it. I was once a journalist. And I think of myself as a journalist, and that's it.
I am old enough to think the word 'journalist' is not all that noble a designation. Journalist - that record keeper, quote taker and processor of press releases - was, in the world of letters I grew up in, a lower-down job. To be a writer - once the ambition of every journalist - was to be the greater truth teller.
My thinking is, if we're setting out to make comedy in which nothing is off limits, then everybody is fair game.
I dont think I ever wanted to be a journalist - I was more interested in what comes from being a journalist.
