You don't underestimate either players or audience in any circumstances. — © Peter Maxwell Davies
You don't underestimate either players or audience in any circumstances.
Doing this web show - people underestimate what it takes to do a web show successfully. They underestimate the amount of work that you have to do to get it to your audience after it's made. I think you have to work so much harder, especially if you don't have a huge budget. You have to know how to get your audience engaged, because the Internet is so distracting, and there are so many choices. People, even if they love your show, will forget to go back for episode four, because you know, people are busy.
Players can underestimate the Premier League.
No support of one star or one director or one producer can make any individual actor a star. You have to connect with the audience; the audience have to like you. That is something that cannot be manipulated or fought for or tried for. Either they like you, or they don't.
You mustn't underestimate an audience's intelligence.
I think maybe we underestimate the country music audience.
I too acknowledge the all-out omnipotence of early culture and nature; hereby we have either a doddered dwarf-bush, or a high-towering, wide-shadowing tree! either a sick yellow cabbage, or an edible luxuriant green one. Of a truth, it is the duty of all men, especially of all philosophers, to note down with accuracy the characteristic circumstances of their education,--what furthered, what hindered, what in any way modified it.
I've played with some great players and against some great players, and Sonny is special, he's so humble and I think that you underestimate that because of the work he puts in, then his quality, outstanding left foot, right foot.
I feel that tennis is an art form that is capable of moving the players and the audience - at least a knowledgeable audience-in almost sensual ways. When I'm performing at my absolute best, I think that some of the euphoria I feel must be transmitted to the audience.
You may have an older audience in front of you holding the Bible and a younger audience holding an iPhone. You don't want to lose either audience.
Don't underestimate your opponent, but don't overestimate them, either.
The audience is the most revered member of the theater. Without an audience, there is no theater. Everything done is ultimately for the enjoyment of the audience. They are our guests, fellow players, and the last spoke in the wheel which can then begin to roll. They make the performance meaningful.
Never underestimate the intelligence of the audience; make good programmes, and they will come.
People underestimate the hip-hop audience and the capacity to understand politics when it's part of music.
Men are not really born either hopelessly idle, or preternaturally industrious. They may move in one direction or the other as will or circumstances dictate, but it is open to any man to work.
That's something that I just can't underestimate the importance of, the staff continuity. I really think that the players feed off the coaches.
The audience works as such a mob. They either all laugh or all don't laugh, and, you know, changes from audience to audience.
