I will die trying to do another 'Baahubali' kind of film. It's not a film that can be easily replicated. I believe only Rajamouli has the experience and vision to handle projects on such scale.
When we started work on 'Baahubali,' my sheer aim was to be able to live up to the imagination that Rajamouli sir had in mind. If people get inspired by 'Baahubali' as a film, and they realize they can make a big film or a historical film which has good drama and good visuals, if they realize there are good stories to tell here, then it is good.
One indie film does well, for example a 'Bheja Fry,' that gets money for another 20 indie projects. But as soon as the first 8 projects release and flop, out of the 12 remaining ones, six will never take off, three will remain incomplete and the others will be shelved.
Our entire film fraternity should be proud of 'Baahubali.' These are the kind of films that are not made very often.
It makes it very easy. I have a beginning, middle, and end, and I don't film for long - about 20 hours usually for a two-hour film - so it's easily watchable in a week for me and the editor. Once I know who the characters are, I only film those characters, unless somebody else forces their way into the film by a scene happening to them or we meet them by chance.
If you understand each other's way of thinking, you understand what kind of film someone is trying to make, and all the ideas that I come up with will fit into that film.
Film is my hobby, so I will work well through the night to develop films, whatever film I'm doing or dream projects I have.
