Men will shop, but they only shop when they need something. Women shop with passion and because it's enjoyable, and for some, it's even entertainment. All you have to do is step into a mall and see how many stores are geared towards men and how many are geared towards women, and you'll get the picture.
When the ending finally comes to me, I often have to backtrack and make the beginning point towards that ending. Other times, I know exactly what the ending will be before I begin, like with the story "A Brief Encounter With the Enemy." It was all about the ending - that's what motivated me.

The spirit of Buddhism is, more than anything, about valuing harmony and unity, in which others are respected and embraced rather than denounced. This has been the way of Buddhism since the beginning, and this is true Buddhism.
I make a distinction between Buddhism with a Capital 'B' and buddhism with a small 'b'. Sri Lanka has the former, in which the state uses Buddhism as an instrument of power, so there are even Buddhists monks who say the Tamils should be eliminated. Thai Buddhists are not perfect either. Some Thai Buddhist monks have compromised with the kind and possess cars and other luxuries. In many Buddhist countries, the emphasis is on being goody-goody, which is not good enough. I am for buddhism with a small 'b' which is non-violent, practical and aims to eliminate the cause of suffering.

Our mentality is geared towards winning silverware.
Everything I do is geared towards improving my next performance.
There?s a clear and strong connection between fertility reduction and women?s literacy and empowerment, including women?s gainful employment. If you look at the more than 300 districts of India, the strongest influences in explaining fertility variations are women?s literacy and gainful economic employment.
It's tourists in New York. Everything is geared towards that. It's so hard on Broadway now for them to get people in there. They have to compete with so many other entertainments, so they have to bring a star in which puts people there out of work.
I've always enjoyed my wrestling being geared more so towards adults.
Most of my artwork is geared towards being humorous in some light.

Buddhism is not just going to temple, being at a ceremony and dressing up. That is the church of Buddhism. Esoteric Buddhism is to move beyond this world.
