The producers and I felt that 'Kanchana 2' would be the apt title when compared to 'Muni 3.' Because, it goes with the prequel and will immediately strike a chord with the audience.
We'd like to explore the prequel idea. I think it would be best suited as a web series on some digital platform. The prequel will be called 'Rajan Vagaira,' and it will track the rise of Rajan's character in 'Vada Chennai' and how he built his empire.
Everything about 'Avunu 2' will be many notches higher than its prequel. The sequel is scarier, and there'll be more thrills and chills. I myself felt it when I was shooting.
It's very important for us because we are viewers, first and foremost. We view more than we make. For us, it's important that the viewing experience is fun and thrilling and exciting and fresh and different. Those are our goals when we are writing something. I am much more likely to care about someone trying to be funny and give them some credit for whatever he or she did that was remotely funny than I am to be mused by somebody declaring this isn't funny, that isn't funny, this sucks. If you want to write humor, you're going to have to get used to that.
I'm not so funny. Gilda was funny. I'm funny on camera sometimes. In life, once in a while. Once in a while. But she was funny. She spent more time worrying about being liked than anything else.
There would be nothing more thrilling than to win a championship.
Nothing is more thrilling than winning a match for your team.
There are expectations with sequels, and people want them to be bigger and better than the prequel.
There are fewer things more thrilling in life than lumpy letters. That rattle.
I'm always more motivated by the pain of a funny character than by what makes him funny.
For me, working on stage is much more exhausting than all the other mediums, but it's also much more thrilling.
Funny is funny. You can be fooled by the eye, but if your performance is funny to the ear, it will be funny. I think it's that if you don't have the visual, you have to infuse the full personality into the voice.
Funny is funny. If it's funny enough to women, it will be funny to men. I think that's been proven by Broad City and Amy Schumer. They're killing it.
