A Quote by Raheem DeVaughn

Anything that exposes the arts more, that gives us an outlet to make money and also do what we enjoy doing as artists and to connect with the fans, I'm all for it.
I love Instagram and Twitter, and I think it's awesome that fans can connect with their favorite artists, but it also gives them a chance in that comment box to say what they really feel about them.
I don't worry about alienating fans. I don't think most people these days think of artists as sellouts if they license their music for a commercial or a movie trailer. If anything, fans get psyched when they hear Sleigh Bells on TV or at the movies. As a band who doesn't make money off of record sales it's a great way for us to pay the bills!
There's nothing more that I enjoy doing as much as touring. It's basically being able to connect with the fans without all the madness that goes on in my regular life.
What keeps you motivated? The challenge of putting all the elements of a team together and seeing how you do and what you become is the thing that I still enjoy. I also enjoy the associations and relationships with the players and other coaches - to be in the arena, so to speak. I still enjoy that. I'm also at the point, though, that if we're not doing well - it's tough enough as it is - that I'm not going to be hanging on just to be hanging on. Because it's not anything I need from an ego standpoint or anything else. I just thoroughly enjoy what I'm doing.
I enjoy the pro game because it gives me an outlet to combine my intellect with something that I can still enjoy doing. It's better than applying my intellect while sitting in a corner office somewhere, trying to write code.
A camera exposes more than just an image. It also exposes the photographer.
The arts can enrich all of us in this nation as individuals. The arts can enrich all of our communities and the country. And the arts can connect us to each other like nothing else can.
Fashion has also been a great outlet, and I'd like to do more fashion photography in the future. I also photograph a lot of artists.
I enjoy what Twitter is because I can really connect with the fans and it's a great way to share information with them and it's also a great way to entertain. I like being able to put a smile on people's faces and letting them know what I'm doing.
It's silly to have as one's sole object in life just making money, accumulating wealth. I work because I enjoy what I'm doing, and the fact that I make money at it - big money - is a fine-and-dandy side fact. Money gives me just one big thing that's really important, and that's the freedom of not having to worry about money. I'm concerned about values - moral, ethical, human values - my own, other people's, the country's, the world's values. Having money now gives me the freedom to worry about the things that really matter.
What we have to get straight in our heads is that owning the money doesn't mean ANYTHING. "It's the DOING with money that develops us - it's not in the having. And when you have more, you're enabled to DO more."
The music industry needs a TV outlet for hip-hop fans and artists.
You've got to do features with the right artists that you can take some of their fans, and their fans start doing their homework and see what you're doing, if they like what you're doing.
I look back now and think, what was I doing, moving to Hollywood with $2,000 and a duffel bag? But there is no money in martial arts competitions, and in Hollywood, there is an outlet for those skills. And I have always been pretty fearless.
The arts are what makes life worth living. You've got food, you've got shelter, yeah. But the things that make you laugh, make you cry, make you connect - make you love are communicated through the arts. They aren't extras.
Because God loves us, he gives us the freedom to make choices. That's good news if we choose wisely. But it also gives us the capacity to sin.
