A Quote by Rajkummar Rao

When you are successful, the perception of the people around you changes. If I do a variety of work, people notice me differently, and that is what is happening. I am fortunate to get these opportunities.
When people say to me: "Oh don't worry, if one door closes another one opens..." If one door closes for me, go through the window - I'm not interested in waiting around for people to give me opportunities. I try and make things happen and if I am given opportunities I take them and work harder.
I've always been battling this perception people have of me, this character. It follows me around. 'Bubba the Bear' shows up when I'm checking into a hotel, when I'm on a plane. I can't get upset with people if they're only aware of a small part of my body of work. But inside I do.
I am fortunate to be successful. People's love is precious to me. I can never take that for granted.
I am in control of my career, and that's what so many actors don't take advantage of. You get to these successful points, and you continue to just work for other people. But, when you're your own brand and you're your own boss, the whole line of work changes. That's my biggest turn on.
I've been very fortunate in animation - when I get on a project, people tend to keep me, so I have long stays of work rather than bouncing around.
I don't really look around and say, 'I've made it.' I just look around and think how fortunate I am to work with the people I'm working with.
I've been very fortunate, because I've been involved in things that very often lead to obscurity. I was in some pictures that were not successful whatsoever. I think people admire persistence. People notice that I'm still there.
I can't hang around with lots of people these days because I am hypersensitive. So when I am around a lot of people or a big roomful of people I get almost autistic. I get overwhelmed and really tired. So I don't like being around large groups.
I've been very fortunate to work for great people - so even when the political process gets ugly, I find inspiration in the people around me.
That changes your whole perception of the film, your perception of the ending...The challenge for us, especially with the Lord of the Rings is how do we deliver that one piece of information that makes you look at the films differently?
I am fortunate in having people around me who protect me.
I'm giddy. I am like an 8-year-old child, every day. I feel blessed for the opportunities. I feel blessed that people are responding to the work, and I'm landing myself in things that people far more talented than I am are allowing me to work on.
I'm really fortunate that I am in continuous work and I love what I do. And I think that there's a reason that it keeps happening. So while that keeps happening, I will be thrilled - and feel lucky - to keep doing it.
I'm a recording artist who's traveled around the world so I have different opportunities than other people and people may decide how I should use my opportunities because my opportunities are public whereas I can't decide how people should use their opportunities because their opportunities are private. That's what we're dealing with - people feeling like they should be able to control celebrities.
It's not lost on me just how fortunate I am to have such generous, supportive people around me, including the wonderful 'Offspring' family.
I'm inspired by everything that goes on around me. I'm a sponge. I'm very analytical. I notice the things that most people don't notice.
