The person who failed often knows how to avoid future failures. The person who knows only success can be more oblivious to all the pitfalls. — © Randy Pausch
The person who failed often knows how to avoid future failures. The person who knows only success can be more oblivious to all the pitfalls.
The person who failed often knows how to avoid future failures.
There are four types of men in this world: 1. The man who knows, and knows that he knows; he is wise, so consult him. 2. The man who knows, but doesn't know that he knows; help him not forget what he knows. 3. The man who knows not, and knows that he knows not; teach him. 4. Finally, there is the man who knows not but pretends that he knows; he is a fool, so avoid him.
"A guy who knows how to dance knows how to fight. A guy who knows how to fight knows how to love. A person who knows how to fight will break bones yet a person who knows how to love will break hearts".
Many things are possible for the person who has hope. Even more is possible for the person who has faith. And still more is possible for the person who knows how to love. But everything is possible for the person who practices all three virtues.
The leader of the past was a person who knew how to tell. The leader of the future will be a person who knows how to ask.
Do not pursue the past. Do not lose yourself in the future. The past no longer is. The future has not yet come. Looking deeply at life as it is. In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom. We must be diligent today. To wait until tomorrow is too late. Death comes unexpectedly. How can we bargain with it? The sage calls a person who knows how to dwell in mindfulness night and day, 'one who knows the better way to live alone.'
Good thinkers are always in demand. A person who knows how may always have a job, but the person who knows why will always be his boss.
Remember that there is only one important time and it is Now. The present moment is the only time over which we have dominion. The most important person is always the person with whom you are, who is right before you, for who knows if you will have dealings with any other person in the future? The most important pursuit is making that person, the one standing at you side, happy, for that alone is the pursuit of life.
An educated person, I think, is one who not only knows a lot, but knows how to do a lot of things.
A humble person is more likely to be self confident... a person with real humility knows how much they are loved.
He who has never failed somewhere, that man can not be great. Failure is the true test of greatness. And if it be said, that continual success is a proof that a man wisely knows his powers,--it is only to be added, that, in that case, he knows them to be small.
The person who knows only his side of the argument knows little of that.
The new midlife is where you realize that even your failures make you more beautiful and are turned spiritually into success if you became a better person because of them. You became a more humble person. You became a more merciful and compassionate person.
Mike Pence not only knows the Capitol. He knows the players in the House and the Senate. He knows how the committee system works. But he also knows all the governors. And so that really brings a unique talent to the picture.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm way more of a joker than I am a serious person.
The person best suited to look out for your interests is you. The more you depend on yourself, the more positive control you have over every aspect of your life. Take personal responsibility for who you are, what you do, and how you live. You are the only person who knows what is best for you. And you are the one who is most able to achieve it!! You have GREATNESS within you!
