For me 'Meet Mila De Rabba' is a very important project since it will break my on-screen villainous image and prove my versatility as an actor.
I realise that certain actors project their own image onto the screen - those who are the same on as they are off. But I've never had the necessary statistics to be able to do that sort of thing, and so, anyway, I always wanted to be a character actor.
My whole goal in my film career is to project a positive image on the screen, that I hope people will enjoy watching.
People hold an image of you and project that image when they feel you are changing. Disappear for a while. Break up your routines.
My instinct is to keep people guessing. I think as an actor your greatest strength is your versatility, I suppose. The blanker the canvas, the easier it is to project the illusion of a character onto it. I think there are many actors who do that very successfully.
The image itself is kind of the least important factor to me, though I'm still interested in putting forth an interesting image.
