My way of writing a book is completely disorganized - to hurl myself at the problem, over and over.
Each pattern describes a problem which occurs over and over again in our environment, and then describes the core of the solution to that problem, in such a way that you can use this solution a million times over, without ever doing it in the same way twice.
In America there's a tendency to write the same book over and over because that's what sells. So in a way, my success in America has come at the expense of what I do.
