My only job as an actor is to try and understand the character and, to the best of my ability, bring this character to life.
The actor's job is to put themselves in the shoes of the character they are trying to portray as truthfully as possible.
I suppose the underlying current for me is the idea of not doing something I've done before. I call myself a character actor and I'm always trying to stay a character actor.
