Reflection is not something you have a lot of time for. — © Robert Battle
Reflection is not something you have a lot of time for.
I do a lot of reflection. I do. I spend a lot of time in reflection and contemplation. I guess the way the old mystics used to do. I don't do meditation. That's not for me. It's not my thing.
I am not talking about rebelliousness, but giving people time for constructive internal reflection and even daydreaming. A lot of research is suggesting that the more that you demand people's external attention, the less chance you are allowing them to dip into the default mode where daydreams and reflection happen - and lot of great ideas are not going to come from the brute force of work but from personal life experience. Mind-wandering seems to be essential to the creative process, and I don't think a lot of businesses are aware of that fact.
Directing remains very psychological, and it takes a lot of time and reflection. When you're an actor, it takes less time, and you can express yourself physically.
I think a lot of self-identity and inner-personal development is hampered by consumerism and capitalism because we see ourselves as a reflection of the TV, rather than as a reflection of the people who are around us, truly.
I think that's what a lot of writers do, create a totally fantastical scenario that is a reflection of something else going on in their life.
I know it is crazy, every time I release something now people say I am becoming more rough and tough. I guess my direction has been changing, I think this new album is a better reflection of who I am as an artist and as a person, I have changed a lot since the Boyzone days.
I spent a lot of time, a lot of energy trying to be a better artist and I still [do]. I spend a lot of time focusing on my craft. If you're going to take your passion into something beyond just something for fun on the side, you got to spend a lot of time on it to be great, and then you've got to make smart decisions about who you collaborate with [and] where you live [to] put yourself in the right situations to meet the right people to catch those breaks.
After a lot of struggling and sort of reflection I realized that the time you have to give is now, regardless of how old you are.
I looked in the mirror and stared at my reflection, until I was in the head-clearing trance that comes when you stare at something for a long time.
A lot of time when you're out injured is spent with internal reflection and kind of looking at yourself in the mirror and deciding who you want to be and where you fit in.
If you know anything about what a lot of the senior leaders at Amazon do in their free time, they spend a lot of time on civil liberties. It's something that's very important to me and I think a lot of my peers.
I think a life of a human being is not something you can explain in a few interview questions. The stuff you do in the media is sometimes a great reflection and sometimes not a great reflection of who you are as a person.
I thank God for my failures. Maybe not at the time but after some reflection. I never feel like a failure just because something I tried has failed.
Have you said 'I LOVE YOU' to * Yourself * today? If YOU Haven't, then you can certainly imagine how many others haven't. The World is simply a reflection of who we are. Perhaps it's time to Fully Embrace and Love the One you see in the mirror. This 'Reflection' is The Greatest Gift we can give to each other. Infinite Love to All.
Psychology is the description of the reflection of the terrestial world in the heavenly plane, or, more correctly, the description of a reflection such as we, soaked as we are in our terrestial nature, imagine it, for no reflection actually occurs, only we see earth wherever we turn.
You put a lot of work into something, a lot of time, a lot of sacrifices, and the time you put in, you want the same result from it.
