Im pretty adept with computers and Photoshop for my blog, and I found my style with a conversational voice and an image-ready column.
I'm pretty adept with computers and Photoshop for my blog, and I found my style with a conversational voice and an image-ready column.
Successful blog is a unique voice; and depending on the blog, your own style factors in. To some extent, it might have to do with the graphic aesthetics of a blog. Pretty pictures go a long way these days and many personal style blogs owe a lot to a decent DSLR.
I wrote the column. I - you know, - the column simply said that [Clay] Felker is destroying this paper. And I heard that he was about ready to fire me, but two other people on The Voice interceded and, fortunately, he had a very short attention span, so I wasn't fired.
I actually think some of the rappers can help our image, because the thing Im concerned about is the NBAs image. I always want our image to be on the rise, and if the rappers can help young players get business-minded, then Im all for it.
I don't know whether computers are improving the style of play, I know they are changing it. Chess has become a different game, one could say that computers have changed the world of chess. That is pretty clear.
Style to me is incidental. The British are very adept at creating it for its own sake, but the best style is incidental. John Coltrane had a style but it was totally incidental to what he was.
Photoshop can make everything too easy, everything is possible in the hands of a good retoucher, look at any authorised photo of a celebrity to get my point. I still prefer the creative challenge of working with the found paper image in the main, I like the sensuality of the cut and the messiness of the glue.
Im at that point in my life where I definitely want to get married soon. Ive got my dogs as surrogates, but Im ready for kids.
Im not the voice of reason; Im more the guy using these offensive topics as fodder to raise tension in a joke.
Like Hemingway and Faulkner, but in an entirely different mode, Fitzgerald had that singular quality without which a writer is not really a writer at all, and that is a voice, a distinct and identifiable voice. This is really not the same thing as a style; a style can be emulated, a voice cannot, and the witty, rueful, elegaic voice gives his work its bright authenticity.
The roof of my house is covered in solar panels. When Im home, Im a pretty green fellow.
When I started my first blog years ago, I just wanted to share my perspective. For a long time, models had been these mute pretty faces - and I wanted to have a voice.
Im okay Im okay now. But you really need to listen to me 'cause im telling you the truth I mean this im okay Trust me... Im not okay ...Well okay im not okay. Im not o-f cking-kay
Be grateful. Find something to be grateful for. Don't do too many things that make you feel like you deserve to lose because we do program our own computers. I believe there is a plus and a minus column and if you end up on the minus column, your own conscience will make you lose.
... there's one of the great lies of all times, that computers save time. They don't. They're time suckers. So, I'm trying not to get involved in the Photoshop.
Somehow Photoshop and the ease with which one can produce an image has degraded the quality of photography in general.
