Anytime you come to a new team and with a new player there is a learning curve.
I'm still learning. It's all a learning curve. Every time you sit down, with any given episode of any given show, it is a learning curve. You're learning something new about how to tell a story. But then, I've felt that way about everything I've ever done - television, features or whatever. Directing or writing, it always feels like the first day of school to me.
But you grow more knowledgeable during the time you play in the Premier League. Every new manager, new chapter, has been a learning curve.
I came to New York City as a player, so my objective is to take the team as high as possible, preferably to victory. If that helps Major League Soccer grow, then that's welcome, too, but I was signed as a New York City FC player and to do what's best for the team.
To be born again is, as it were, to enter upon a new existence, to have a new mind, a new heart, new views, new principles, new tastes, new affections, new likings, new dislikings, new fears, new joys, new sorrows, new love to things once hated, new hatred to things once loved, new thoughts of God, and ourselves, and the world, and the life to come, and salvation.
Newness inspires me. New opportunities. New places. New experiences. Learning new things, new skills. New roles!
I think every new player needs time when they come to a new club and a new country, and I certainly did.
When you come to a new team, new world, new people, you feel a little bit uncomfortable. But my teammates, they are tremendous guys.
The luster of an experience can actually go up with time. So, learning to play a new instrument, learning a new language - those sorts of things will pay dividends for years or decades to come.
It isn't the changes that do you in, it's the transitions. Change is not the same as transition. Change is situational: the new site, the new boss, the new team roles, the new policy. Transition is the psychological process people go through to come to terms with the new situation. Change is external, transition is internal
I love to see a guy who keeps plugging away make the most of his chance. You look at any successful team, and there's always a player or two who seems to come out of nowhere to help lift that team to new heights.
With every episodic, there's a learning curve where writers try to find the voice of the characters by way of the actors. Many details are found along the way. On 'Caprica,' although the franchise already existed, we were creating an entirely new world full of new characters.
I'm so excited about my new partnership with the talented and motivated team at S-Curve Records!
And initially, a lot of companies avoid trying to make a really radical new kind of title for a new system, because that would involve learning a new machine and learning how to make the new title at the same time.
There's definitely a learning curve to each coach, no question. They come in with their systems, their philosophies. I'm a super coachable guy, trying to put the team first and do what they require of me.
It doesn't always click for a new player in a new team: you don't always go in and hit the ground running and score all the time.
One of the phrases I frequently look for is infinite learning curve.Because each entrepreneurial pattern is to some degree unique and new.
