I think 205 is the place for me. I walk around at 225, 230 at the most, and that's kind of small for a heavyweight. I think 205 is where I'll be.
I don't think I need to pick a weight class. I feel like I'm that perfect in between. I have the strength, I have the power to fight at heavyweight and I can drop down to 205.
I will always rep '205 Live.' I will always support '205 Live.' I will always be the heart of '205 Live.' I will always be watching because you will never know when the heart of '205 Live' will beat again.
It's easier to be heavyweight than make 205!
I think '205 Live' is the ultimate underdog story. This isn't a knock on any other brands; you have your stars on 'Raw,' you have your stars on 'SmackDown Live,' and I almost feel like NXT already has this amazing face to continue building stars, but '205 Live,' that is not the case. There is no foundation. We are not capitalizing off of stars.
There's a level of exposure that 'Smackdown' and 'Raw' get that other brands like 'NXT,' 'NXT UK,' and '205 Live' do not get. But at the same time, I feel like I would not be who I am without '205 Live.'
I'm not a small guy. I can get up to 205 pounds and be athletic and be in shape.
You can train with heavyweight guys, you can train with 205 guys but this is training. A fight is completely different.
I think I had a lot to do with why there's even a thing such as 205 Live. In the past, when they started that, they didn't even acknowledge me. I've gotta lie to tell you that that didn't bother me.
I'd like to be a 5-10, 205-pound running back. I think it's natural for big guys to want to be a little faster.
I'm open to fighting at 185 or 205 pounds, but I think I need to give this 185-pound run a real, honest crack. Being at this weight class has definitely made me into a different fighter.
Compared to some other guys at 205, of course, I'll be a little small. But I've never tried to just physically go for it, bulk up, lift weights.
When I was at 205, it was kind of weird eating whatever I want and not getting trimmed and not really being disciplined with my diet. It was kind of weird.
I thought about 205 for awhile, particular when I was doing the Vegan diet and walking around at about 250lbs. I was counting calories and was serious about whether it was a possibility, but it's just not for me.
It wasn't that I didn't think I could hang with the guys at 185 or 205. I just thought I'd be the more dominant guy at 170. I'm not afraid of anybody in any weight class. That has never been an issue.
205 is my category. I do this all my life.
Every time I'm in training mode, I've had to monitor what I'm eating. I'll break 210 and be around 215 pounds. I know what it takes to compete with the best guys at 205. I've trained with them.
