I definitely get a little antsy when I haven't had a good fix!
Writers aren't like plumbers. If you're a plumber, you fix one person's boiler in the morning, then you go and fix another in the afternoon. I didn't want to write a book unless I had something new to say - and it was good to live a little in between.
The average person has eight different jobs over the course of their lifetime. You get a little antsy doing the same thing.
My problem is I'm like a junkie. I want a good movie fix, and I never get that fix.
You read something and you know it's not there yet. There's a little section here that... this part's good but that is a little not, it doesn't quite work. That doesn't quite work. That's easy. To say, "OK, now, this is what I think will fix it." That's harder. And most people can tell you what's wrong with something. Very few people can say what they would do to fix it.
I'm tired of playing little girls. I'm a woman now. I can't run around forever being the Little Miss Fix It who bursts into song. I want to get out of Hollywood and get a fresh approach.
Sometimes it gets a little hectic on trips because we're skating all day long, and all you want to do is eat dinner and go to sleep. So sometimes it gets a little long for my liking, but the second I get home, it's straight to the shower to fix it all up, and we're good to go.
I get very antsy when I'm not occupied.
I definitely believe in a greater good. I definitely believe that there's a reason each of us is here and that we've been brought here to do something. And we need to get busy doing it. And I definitely believe that there is something moving us forward that's good.
There's definitely a way to fix the prison system. First of all, you gotta get a rehabilitation center in prisons, that every inmate must go through.
Don't try to fix the students, fix ourselves first. The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior. When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed.
If I'm not doing anything, I get really antsy and bored.
But I think it's hard for me to only put out one record a year. Because I get too antsy. But it's good I'm learning to do that, because each record counts. And you should make it count.
You shoot this and it always has something of yourself - sometimes it's more and sometimes it's less. I think after the shooting it depends on who your character is. You definitely learn something about yourself, or you get to know sides that you knew you had, but you had never activated or triggered in a way that allowed you to let them out. Bad and good, all of this is in all of us. But you definitely meet another side or a quarter or ten percent of yourself that you had an idea of, but never really knew about.
If I get good films, I would definitely do them. But most of the stuff that I get is not good at all. They were not good scripts.
When I moved to L.A., I had somebody go, 'Alright. Fix your hair. Wear this.' Like, changed my look a little bit. I kind of came into myself a little better when I moved to L.A.
I get antsy and annoyed if I am sedentary too long.
