I try to be superwoman, and sometimes I wear myself out.
I am pretty weird - as weird as in my videos. The only difference is Lilly is not a performer, and Superwoman is. So Superwoman is very fearless. You'll never see her nervous. You'll never see her sad. But Lilly is a human. She is the person behind Superwoman, who gets sad and tired sometimes.
I used to get out of bed sometimes and feel depressed and watched a lot of reruns on TV to get over it. I should have allowed myself to be a little more human and not worry about trying to be a superwoman.
I write songs as honestly as I can without worrying about genres or labels. Sometimes I sing, and sometimes I rap, and sometimes I do something in between. I jump around on stage and don't care too much about how I look. I try to be myself even though I'm still figuring myself out.
Sometimes I have to try to remind myself that I don't try to strike out hitters.
On an average day, I will spend 90 percent of my waking moments working on 'Superwoman.' I'm a huge workaholic. My hobby is 'Superwoman.'
I don't have any rules about what to wear when I go out. I go through phases. Sometimes I'll go out in jeans and a top and not even wear heels. Sometimes I want to be more sexy, in a dress and heels.
giving the utmost of herself to three absorbing interests [marriage, motherhood, career] ... was a problem for a superwoman, and a job for a superwoman, and only some such fabled being could have accomplished it with success.
I love the characters you can build upon when you wear different things. You know, sometimes, I'll want to be girly and wear tulle on a Tuesday, and sometimes I wanna be like Kim Kardashian and wear black leather head-to-toe.
Dude you scare me sometimes! You're all vampire superwoman
What I try to do is write from the inside out. I really try to jump into the world of the film and the characters, try to imagine myself in that world rather than imagining it as a film I'm watching onscreen. Sometimes, that means I'm discovering things the way the audience will, with character and story.
My top tip for looking your best is to dress for yourself, not for anyone else. Even working with a stylist, I wouldn't wear anything she told me to wear unless I was comfortable with it myself. That said, it's good to push yourself out of your style comfort zone every so often to make sure you try new things.
Sometimes when I go out on the road, I feel almost embarrassed or dismayed because I can't be the image of what kids want me to be. So I just try to be myself, and usually that works out OK.
I don't want to sound too cocky. But I consider myself superwoman.
I think that I'd like to try to be a superwoman and have kids and work, so we'll see if I can actually accomplish that.
I just want to be who I am. I think all women go through the belief that they need to be superwoman - that to be successful in any way, and I don't necessarily mean in business or anything, but just to be a successful person, you have to be superwoman.
I don't see myself going out in sweats, dropping Barron at school in sweats - it's just not my style - never was. I like to put myself together and go out. I do wear jeans and T-shirt though! I like them - why not? They're very comfortable, and when I'm home and playing with my child, I like to wear a white T-shirt and jeans.
