The way in which the photograph records experience is also different from the way of language. Language makes sense only when it is presented as a sequence of propositions. In fact, the point of photography is to isolate images from context, so as to make them visible in a different way.
A categorization implies a hierarchical way of seeing things. Life is really relational, not hierarchical. Hierarchical is a human way of looking at things. Relational is much more the way things are. Everything is connected.

That's one of the troubles of photography; the implication that what you have in that photograph is the way it is, and of course a year later that's not the way it is.
