I could make Basic Instinct 16. If guys will keep thinking I'm hot, I might turn it into a TV series.
If you think about TV series, we make 16 one-hour movies a season. You don't get any opportunity like that in movies. I mean, I can't say I'll be able to do 16 movies in the next year, and so that's how I see it.
I could throw pretty hard. I might strike out 16 guys, but I might walk 10. I mean, I was wild.
It's funny, but I never knew I was hot or could be beautiful until I saw 'Basic Instinct,' and I was so shocked when I saw how pretty they made me.
The things that are reflected back at us, often times, are appealing to a base instinct that's about response as opposed to reflection. So for me, it's important to turn on a piece of information that might interest people, you know, that might interest them in pursuing or researching maybe, or even just thinking about it in that moment as I'm performing it.
I keep thinking the bad guys will win in the end and take it all away, but somehow it all seems to keep working.
There are a lot of guys kind of on the bubble that can either be that sort who turn into journeyman kind of guys that will find a new spot or guys that can make a claim to be in one place for a long time. You can name a lot of names this year, an unusual number. And I think that most of them will be OK.
It's a challenge to turn a book series into a television series; you need to keep people on their toes, but you also want to be true to the source material.
I know the activists I deal with, we sort of try and check each other to make sure that we haven't gone native, that you come to Washington thinking it's a cesspool, you don't want to end up thinking it's really a hot tub and getting used to it. So that's something one has to keep an eye on all the time.
With TV, your structure is determined by the series not the episode. You can have incident without consequence to the character, but keep your eye on the ticking clock of the series.
It's a challenge every year with a TV series. You want to keep evolving and keep it going. That's part of the fun.
I cannot turn my life back around. I'm already a public figure, I'm famous... It's like, I might as well keep it going, might as well make the money.
No British TV company could ever make a series like 'The West Wing' about British politics. It would beggar credibility. No one could write it with a straight face, or perform it without giggling.
Every time I started going in the direction of thinking how it might turn out, I started to just turn my brain around and not go there, because I think the surest way to guarantee that you won't win is to assume that you will.
I am not interested in considering another TV series. This one was a wonderful experience which will be hard to top, and It's caused me to turn down several good film opportunities because of the schedule.
Classical music is the kind we keep thinking will turn into a tune.
A hot producer might not make a hot beat for me. I just love music.
