I can not express more the importance of treating your teammates, opponents and coaches with the utmost respect. — © Shaun Livingston
I can not express more the importance of treating your teammates, opponents and coaches with the utmost respect.
Treating everyone with dignity and respect is of utmost importance to me and are values we instill and take very seriously at Mylan.
It's the old story. You might be able to fool your coaches, or your teammates, or your opponents. But, you can never fool yourself in anything. I believe that the more critical you are of your own performance- the higher standards you have-the better you become at what you do.
We need to start treating ourselves how we deserve to be treated, even if you feel that no one else does. Prove to the world you are worth something by treating yourself with the utmost respect and hope that other people will follow your example. And even if they don't, at least one person in the world is treating you well: You.
I respected opponents as well as teammates and coaches.
It's important to respect both your teammates and your opponents. Friendships can make a victory last forever.
The things I was allowed to experience, the people I was able to call friends, teammates, mentors, coaches and opponents, the travel, all of it, are far more than anything I ever thought possible in my lifetime.
If you start to focus on your opponent then you see so much quality in your opponents and weaknesses in your own side. You start to put doubts in your mind. You need to respect your opponents but that's it, no more.
Try to find the right balance of keeping things exciting and treating your audience with respect, and also treating yourself as an artist with respect.
I think any player would say that they want their coaches' respect, they want their teammates' respect, and they want their opponent to respect them.
Being involved in competition is a privilege and an opportunity. Seek to make the most of that opportunity by pushing yourself to the limit of your abilities. When it is over, you will have earned the respect of your opponents, your coaches, and yourself.
I hold the utmost respect and admiration for the coaches in this league, so to be recognized by my peers is an incredible honor.
I've always believed that getting respect as an artiste is of utmost importance.
I believe that coaches and athletes should realize that the athletic department field, court or diamond can be made an extension of the classroom, a place where you and your teammates are learning more than just how to prepare to win. The field, the court, and the diamond should be places where athletes are constantly learning about the game in which they participate, about their coaches and teammates, and perhaps most importantly, about themselves.
Don't ever underestimate the importance of treating others with respect and kindness.
I just want to go out there and try to get my respect from my teammates and my coaches.
Any praise goes to my coaches and my teammates. I have the easy part of waking up and going to the gym. They're the ones that have to break my bad habits and teach me new things. They're literally my everything. In my personal life, it's my wife, and in my professional life, it's my coaches and my teammates.
