That's the downside of playing for one of the top teams: that no matter how well you play, sometimes you have to step aside.
Always, against top teams, if you play well, and especially in the Champions League, it's good.
Every great accomplishment starts with a first step. No matter how big your goals are. No matter how great your plans are. No matter how immense your dreams are. It all begins with a single step. Take that step today!
I'm sure there have been guys who didn't realize they had a concussion and just kept playing. It's a violent game. The head injuries are the most dangerous to play with. We're trained to play no matter what. If you can run, and you're able to focus and know your responsibilities, you're usually out there playing. You wouldn't have enough players if no one played hurt. Especially if you're, like, on special teams, you're going to do everything you can to stay in the game.
No matter how you play the golf course, no matter how well you play, you're going to have to make 6 and 8 footers for par. It's just a given here.
I'm fine with pressure. I went to Kentucky, dealt with it all season, playing in front of all the top teams and top crowds.
I like to watch teams who play well, ball on the floor, ball to feet, playing well as a collective.
My solo playing utilizes the deployment of suggestive psychic rhythms. I'll state these throughout a given piece and play thematic improvisations on top of that. I like to suggest that rhythmic movement without always playing it. I like to create openings that I can step into.
From my experience, playing on some really good teams in the past, that's No. 1, to pitch well and play defense.
When I play any of the top teams or the top players, it's a stage.
The first thought is always about making the playoffs. That's the tough part. And once you get there, only then you can allow yourself to start thinking how you are going to play in the playoffs against other teams. And a lot is left to chance then. There's an element of luck as well: sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you do not.
I think that's the philosophy of all top teams - to educate young, top players and to give them the possibility to play.
Step aside? I step aside for nobeast, whether it be a hallowed hedgehog, an officious otter, a seasoned squirrel, a mutterin' mole or a befuddled badger!
I don't know how satisfied you can be when we still have a losing record. We feel like we're definitely playing better. The reality is we're about to find out. Our toughest West Coast trip is normally the circus trip in November. This year, they're flip-flopped. We did well on the first West Coast trip 3-3. Now, this is a big one. All these teams Dallas, New Orleans, Phoenix, Utah, Denver, Sacramento and the Los Angeles Clippers are quality teams. Each team is really playing well. It's going to be a big challenge for us.
Every season is so much different and you go through your ups and downs, you figure your team out, you get to play against great teams. Some of the best competition there's been since I've been in the league. Just every night, night in and night out we get to play against the top guys, the top teams. It's a lot of fun.
The game of baseball is better when the Dodgers are playing well, just like when the Yankees are playing well, or the Cubs, the Phillies, the big-name teams.
The Premier League is the toughest in the world probably, there's not going to be an easy game. It is what I've dreamt of, so when I step onto that pitch I'm just playing how I want to play, playing with freedom and that is what the manager wants.
