A Quote by Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

A lot of people do run well at 60m but can't transfer it to the 100m because there's still 40m to go, and anything can happen in that last section. — © Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce
A lot of people do run well at 60m but can't transfer it to the 100m because there's still 40m to go, and anything can happen in that last section.
Everyone praises Harvard 'for the students.' But what makes Harvard's students so great is that they are, in many ways, a cross-section of the larger world. They are normal people who happen to be excellent, and this sets them apart. People who go to Yale go because they want to attend Yale. People who go to Harvard go because they can.
I think there are people that still hold on that like Heavy Metal like a bit of what is going on now, but it isn't all of what they love and which goes on and it's the same with me... There's still a lot of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke songs that I still happen to like a lot, but then there are a lot of Madonna and... a lot of the female singers that I like as well, but it's like liking it with different emotions, you know.
A lot of people say that you go to the outfield and just run and go get a ball, but it's still not that easy.
No, you sort of have to put that out of your mind. There's always a possibility that you can have a catastrophic failure, of course. This can happen on any flight. It can happen on the last one as well as the first one. You just plan as best you can to take care of all these eventualities, and you get a well-trained crew, and you go fly.
In the area of economic justice, we still have a long way to go. We have too many people who are discriminated against just because they happen to be black or they happen to be a woman or some other minority.
When books come out on religion today, what are they about, well, Noah's Ark or when we go to heaven, does our body or soul go to heaven? What was the name of the book? The Da Vinci Code. Who is seated at the last supper? Well, as brilliant as Da Vinci was, he didn't know anymore about who was seated at the last super if there ever was a last super than you or I or Yogi Berra. Well, no one is bringing anything new to the table.
When I was in Spain, I remember United being eight points ahead of City with only six games but they still lost that title. So in the Premier League, anything can happen. You never know because anything can happen whether you are in front or behind the opponent.
I usually get so warned when I go to Detroit, like, 'Oh my God, don't go to this section, don't go to that section.' I've never had any issues in Detroit. I love that there's enough of a racial mix of people to make fun of. I've always had a good time there.
I look at other people's lives, and some people feel like they're too old to play with toys. But I still go through the toy section at the store, 'cause there were toys that I wanted when I was little that I couldn't have. So I still get them.
No one knows what is going to happen in the next few minutes, and yet people still go forward, because they have trust, because they have faith.
Nothing is going to happen to me, or you, for that matter. Anything can happen, though. Anything can happen. But most always, just normal things happen, and people have happy lives.
The writer is driven by his conviction that some truths aren't arrived at so easily, that life is still full of mystery, that it might be better for you, Dear Reader, if you went back to the Living section of your newspaper because this is the dying section and you don't really want to be here.
When I was working with Talking Heads what would happen typically is that they would go out and start playing a track, and I would always run the tape. I always record everything, even a run through where you're trying to get in tune. That's a principle because sometimes when the situation isn't clear interesting things happen, and they are worth listening to again.
A lot of people are afraid to use their platforms because they don't want to lose anything they have - and that's OK. We don't all have to be activists, but I choose to do it because, really, what's the worst that could happen?
Anything can happen when people run for office.
For me, while writing I am an engineer, so if I decide to change the format, I want to add a section, to move a section, reorganize the section, anything I want to do, I just boot words, and I do what I want to do. So, I feel completely empowered when I'm a writer.
