I was obsessed with 'The Lion King' as a kid, and I really wanted to go work in an animal sanctuary and have my Lara Croft moment.
I'm obsessed with 'Wicked', and I'd love to play Nala in 'The Lion King'. Some of the songs from 'The Lion King' are performed in my native tongue, so when the cast performed an extract from the show in 'Strictly' in the language I grew up with, it made me cry.
There is definitely something that has to be said for me liking the action, Lara Croft type stuff. I really want to explore that side of me.
I felt like Lara Croft while doing stunts.
With something like 'Tomb Raider,' it's very intimidating to step into the boots of Lara Croft.
I have all these computers and keyboards and synthesizers, and I rattle away. For instance, with The Lion King I wrote over four hours worth of tunes, and they were really pretty -but totally meaningless. So in the end I came up with material I liked. We worked on The Lion King for four years, but I wasn't toying until the last three-and-a-half weeks properly. On Crimson Tide, on the other hand, I just went in and within seconds I knew what I wanted.
I love playing females that are put into these pressure-cooker situations, but they're real. I didn't want to be this kind of Lara Croft superwoman.
I want people to see the action side of me. I love all of that stuff and it would be a dream to do that Lara Croft-type role.
We go through life so fast and we never really get to enjoy moments. It seems like they go past us...Tonight I just wanted to take a minute, a moment and soak it in and be a kid from Robbins Illinois and be a kid from Marquette University.
As long as 'Tomb Raider' will have me, I will be their Lara Croft.
I wanna try doing a movie similar to 'The Walking Dead,' an action-horror, or something similar to 'Lara Croft.'
One thing I am really dying to do, while I'm still young and in shape, is an action movie. I would love to do a Lara Croft type of thing that's really physical and tough. I want to have a gun and do martial arts. I would love to get paid to get into the best shape of my life.
When I was a kid, going to Universal Studios, which was all I wanted to do, all the time, there was a show that was all the monsters, and I loved that show. I was obsessed with Dracula. I was obsessed with Frankenstein. I was obsessed with the Wolfman.
But I would love to have played Angelina Jolie in 'Tomb Raider'. Lara Croft! I've done the training so I'm half-way there. Now I just need to get her face and body! She is so hot.
I've been a fan of Lara Croft. She's gorgeous. She's sexy. She's iconic. She's British.
Lara Croft is completely different; the way she does the action scenes and maintains her body in perfect condition... I can't compete with her in any way.
From her first superheroine role in 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' - which earned $275 million globally in 2001, back when that was real money - Jolie has been the one actress who can stand up to any male star and stare him down.
