It'd be really neat if I wasn't a Darwin Award winner.
I really wanted the MTV Award the most, It was a golden popcorn container and it looks really neat.
I'm an Academy Award winner. I'm serious.
For a lot of filmmakers, their first goal is to be successful and make some money. But once people start doing that, the real goal is then to win an Academy Award. Because when they do, they know that their obit is going to start out, 'Academy Award winner so-and-so.'

An award, to me, means a bonus. It's not that an actor works for an award. I don't work for an award. But, when you get an award, it is encouraging and inspiring and reminds you that you need to do well.
I am beyond blessed and humbled to be named the Paul Hornung Award winner.
I'm honored and humbled to be named the Seasonlong NBA Community Assist Award winner.
I think every artist wants to have that 'Grammy award winner' tag in front of their name.
The Church demonstrated the falsity and folly of Darwin's theories by showing that they contradicted the Mosaic account of creation, and now that the theories of Darwin having been fairly established, the Church says that the Mosaic account is true because it is in harmony with Darwin. Now, if it should turn out that Darwin was mistaken, what then?
When I look at Perfidia, I think, "That's a Pulitzer Prize winner. That's a National Book Award winner." It's not going to get it. It's going to be shelved in crime and it's just the way it is. I've done something that no one else has ever done; I've started out as a mystery writer, a police writer, and a crime writer, and I became something entirely different.
When it comes to movies, if it's a classic or award-winner, I promise I've never seen it. But if it's anything superhero-related, I've probably watched it 100 times.
It's a really neat and special coincidence, but it's nothing but a coincidence. This wasn't set up to give Matt that honor. It's just the way it worked out. It's a neat extra.
Actually, nobody has ever given me an award, and also, it's not really important in my life. I go to these award shows for meeting my friends.
I remember when I first won the Academy Award, and how much I loved it. I just wish there was an award around that you could really believe in again.

A new kind of award has been added -- the deathbed award. It is not an award of any kind. Either the recipient has not acted at all, or was not nominated, or did not win the award the last few times around. It is intended to relieve the guilty conscience of the Academy members and save face in front of the public. The Academy has the horrible taste to have a star, choking with emotion, present this deathbed award so that there can be no doubt in anybody's mind why the award is so hurriedly given. Lucky is the actor who is too sick to watch the proceedings on television.
