A Quote by Steve Ballmer

I think it would be absolutely reckless and irresponsible for anyone to try and break up Microsoft. — © Steve Ballmer
I think it would be absolutely reckless and irresponsible for anyone to try and break up Microsoft.
People think I'm crazy and reckless but I'm absolutely not... I'm soooo safe and soooo careful and I won't do anything that feels like I could break something.
I'll tell what reckless is. What reckless is is calling [Bashar] Assad a reformer. What reckless is allowing Russia to come into Crimea and Ukraine. What reckless is is inviting Russia into Syria to team with Iran. That is reckless. And the reckless people are the folks in the White House right now. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are the reckless people.
From a client perspective, I really think the work Microsoft's doing with Surface, with HoloLens, with Xbox, that stuff's absolutely essential to the company's future. Because innovation in the future will either be from the cloud out to all devices, or from devices as supported by software in the cloud. I think it's important for Microsoft to participate both ways.
I think Microsoft will have to change. I think that the business of Microsoft, the company of Microsoft, is going to continue to succeed. But I think the business model of Microsoft is going to have to change.
A lot of people think, and Microsoft is happy to let them think, that all great things are invented by Microsoft. In fact, very, very little has been invented by Microsoft.
When you're telling a story, I think you should tell it to its fullest, with reckless abandon, and absolutely let it be what it is.
I would challenge anyone who thinks that what we do isn't taxing on your body. People see what we do and think it would be fun to try, but I would challenge anyone to do what we do and show them how physically demanding it is. It deserves a lot more respect.
It's very hard to describe to people sometimes the way I grew up, because it wasn't like my parents were irresponsible. They weren't necessarily reckless, but they were bringing all types of energy into the house, all kinds of people.
I have a company that is not Microsoft, called Corbis. Corbis is the operation that merged with Bettman Archives. It has nothing to do with Microsoft. It was intentionally done outside of Microsoft because Microsoft isn't interested.
I don't think that anyone could try to be my father, I think he was extremely unique, and if anybody were to try to act like him and pull off the action in the same way, that would be a mistake. Trying to give a Bruce Lee-esque performance would be an epic failure.
I used to try to pick locks because I grew up on my grandparents' farm and I started my own little spy club. I would go around the farm and try to break into the shed and try spying on my grandpa. It was ridiculous.

Microsoft's intentions must be judged by Microsoft's actions, not Microsoft's words. Their actions speak plainly enough: they are working to turn today's open-PC ecosystem into a closed, Microsoft-controlled distribution and commerce monopoly.
There is no way that me or anyone else could be like Coach Bryant. I think it would be ridiculous for anyone to try.
Don't be reckless with other peoples hearts. And don't put up with people that are reckless with yours.
Don't be reckless with other people's hearts, don't put up with those who are reckless with yours.
