Yes, no matter how right the wall may be and how wrong the egg, I will stand with the egg. Someone else will have to decide what is right and what is wrong; perhaps time or history will decide. If there were a novelist who, for whatever reason, wrote works standing with the wall, of what value would such works be?
When we have our body and mind in order, everything else will exist in the right place, in the right way. The thing to remember is that the work comes first, and not to get distracted by anything else. If you keep focused on the work, everything else will fall into place. That's my mantra now.
For me, I focus on trying to get it right and be as fair as possible. There's not much else I can do. People will believe what they want - facts be damned.
