A Quote by Stockard Channing

I'm rather uncomfortable with celebrity, to be honest. — © Stockard Channing
I'm rather uncomfortable with celebrity, to be honest.
I still feel very uncomfortable with the term 'celebrity' because I don't see myself as one.
Being a celebrity made me so uncomfortable that I would have preferred standing behind the amplifiers.
To me, there are two types of celebrity: there's good celebrity - people that are attracted to the food and working and trying to create something great - and then there's bad celebrity - those who are working on being a celebrity.
I don't like being called a celebrity. So much so that I find it very uncomfortable looking at myself on the screen.
I loathe nowheres - airports and bland hotels. I would rather be in an unpleasant, uncomfortable place rather than one just adrift, floating around.
I'm often uncomfortable with girliness, to be honest.
We like people who are honest. Honest in argument, honest with clients, honest with suppliers, honest with the company - and above all, honest with consumers.
You go through pain. You feel uncomfortable, uncomfortable, uncomfortable until you change. I acquired a different outlook.
I don't enjoy being a celebrity, I don't want any part of that or any part of that fame for fame... i'd actually rather die than be a celebrity slime!!!
There's nothing sexy about doing a nude scene. It's rather uncomfortable. I like dressing up rather than dressing down.
Leadership is scarce because few people are willing to go through the discomfort required to lead. This scarcity makes leadership valuable...It's uncomfortable to stand up in front of strangers. It's uncomfortable to propose an idea that might fail. It's uncomfortable to challenge the status quo. It's uncomfortable to resist the urge to settle...If you're not uncomfortable in your work as a leader, it's almost certain you're not reaching your potential as a leader.
'I'm a Celebrity' is not my cup of tea whatsoever. I don't like the animal cruelty in it, to be honest.
I can say, 'I am terribly frightened and fear is terrible and awful and it makes me uncomfortable, so I won't do that because it makes me uncomfortable.' Or I could say, 'Get used to being uncomfortable. It is uncomfortable doing something that's risky. But so what? Do you want to stagnate and just be comfortable?'
To be perfectly honest, I feel I have a duty to use my celebrity status in a positive way.
You make real progress when somebody is honest enough to say something that's really uncomfortable.
Celebrity seems totally at odds with authentic community and honest, real sorts of relationships.
