I take alone time when I can. — © Tash Sultana
I take alone time when I can.
I've never just been able to be alone, and I'm obsessed with being alone and hearing my thoughts. I'm trying to take this alone time — the five minutes I do have a day — to learn as much as I can.
I think it's good to have the alone time. Well, I kind of have to, because I have to be alone in order to work, so I have alone time. And then I go on tour and I have being-around-people time.
Though people see me in a good light all the time, I turn off my phone and take time to have a good conversation with myself while enjoying nature alone when I'm having a hard time.
I came alone in this world, I have walked alone in the valley of the shadow of death, and I shall quit alone when the time comes.
It is most important to have time alone. To be alone is not to be alone. It is only possible to truly feel immortality when we are by ourselves.
I spend a lot of time alone and my wife understands that I need to be alone. I enjoy being alone. But I'm never lonely.
I'd have wasted a lot of time and trouble before I learned that the best way to take all people, black or white, is to take them for what they think they are, then leave them alone.
Being alone has a power over me that never fails. My interior dissolves (for the time being only superficially) and is ready to release what lies deeper. When I am willfully alone, a slight ordering of my interior begins to take place and I need nothing more.
I learned to basically pull my own weight, just do my own thing. I spent a lot of time alone and I loved it. It was actually really great because to the present day I love spending time alone. I go bicycling alone, go climbing alone and I just love being with myself and observing myself and learning something.
Building out a professional profile on LinkedIn certainly makes sense, and bolstering that CV with intelligent pieces of writing is also a great idea. But if you're going to take the time to create content, you should also take the time to create a home for that content that is yours and yours alone.
Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralysing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.
People who take the time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve.
For those of you who are seeing the spiritual life, I recommend these four daily practices: Spend time alone each day in receptive silence. When angry, or afflicted with any negative emotion, take time to be alone with God. (Do not talk with people who are angry; they are irrational and cannot be reasoned with. If you or they are angry, it is best to leave and pray.) Visualize God's light each day and send it to someone who needs help. Exercise the body, it is the temple of the soul.
Far from 'rotting my brain,' as I was often told would happen, TV helped me feel less alone at a time when I spent so much time alone.
After I had a kid, I value every minute of time that I have alone and I don't take it for granted anymore.
I've always been somewhat of a loner. I seem to take more alone time that the average person.
