I want to prove that you can go to school and still chase your dream, too.
When you chase a dream, and no one understand or has your back except seven friends from high school and your grandma, it's not going to be easy.
You're never too old to chase your dream.
In my lifetime, I've come to realize that you can't depend upon other people for what you want. You can't be scared to go out and get it. You have to dream big, wish hard & chase after your goals, because no one is going to do it for you.
That's your dream, to get paid and take care of your family. But you still want to win, too.
I want that longevity in the career, so if you don't know how to get it, you trying to chase that high, you trying to continue to chase your dreams and conquer things you never thought you could get. And you just want to get there too soon, so you taking the wrong moves to try and compensate what's not happening.
To go and accomplish a dream at 15, it doesn't feel like you have all that much to lose because you're in high school. You're being home schooled. You get to kind of go for it in a different way. Your parents are still in charge.
I barely slept during high school because I was too busy dancing and acting all the time. The plan was to go to my dream college that had one of the best performing arts programs, and then go to LA to follow my dream of being an actress.
Don't go to a school just because your friends are there or because it sounds like a dream school. Go to a program that fits your style of play.
Whatever your race, colour or creed in London, you still want your children to get on the housing ladder. You still want spaces in hospitals or GP surgeries, you want school places and you want space on the trains in the mornings.
One day I realized that that was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I wanted to chase my dream and I wanted to show my young daughter that it's okay to chase your dreams. So, I set out to do it.
I can do what I want, when I want. I want to go to this place, I pick up and go. It's nice. I've just never been inclined to do anything that's too crazy. But I still have to work, you know. Some days I don't feel like going to the studio. But I still have to.
Don't chase women, they will chase you. They are like horses in a pasture: if you don't go drooling over her, she is going to want to know why.
I want to go back to school, get my master's, and do the accountancy thing at last. You know, get back to the dream. The real dream, that is, not the football dream.
You don't want to block your thoughts, emotions, and so on; nor do you want to chase after them. If you chase after them, if you let them lead you, they begin to define you, and you lose your ability to respond openly and spontaneously in the present moment. On the other hand, if you attempt to block your thoughts, your mind can become quite tight and small.
It is always good to have dreams, chase them, and work hard. But you should know when the dream is sucking you in and you become such a slave of your dream that you can't see what is right and wrong and that is disastrous.
The reason why I found acting is because my father passed away. He passed away really young. I was going to go to med school. My father's dream was that all of his kids become doctors. I realized in school I didn't like it. When he died, it was like a wake-up call. Life is too short to do something you don't want to do.
