I have a curiosity that compels me to find ways to make music that are fresh and new.
I definitely don't have a music industry goal because I've done that and completed that work. My quest is to find new platforms for music to live. Once we do that and find different ways of getting music to people, whether that's 5000 or 1 million people, I'll feel successful. I want to make sure I'm adding something to the marketplace, so that's my goal.
I'm naturally curious, and I've always been driven by my curiosity. Curiosity gets people excited. Curiosity leads to new ideas, new jobs, new industries.
When I listen to music, there's usually some aspect of that music that I like, and that's what I take and try to bring into my own music. Bringing in other musicians to collaborate with is a good way for me to test out new ways or make music that I might have not discovered on my own.
