It's not impressive to get in a fight, but if one does happen, you've gotta be ready to handle it. Every girl, not just biker chicks, knows what kind of guy can.
You know that when you fight a guy like Georges, there are going to be a lot of demands on your time and you just have to be able to find a way to deal with it. The most important thing is, I can't let my obligations to promote the fight interfere with my obligation to get ready to fight.
In LA it's kind of common to date some random girl or guy, whereas back home it's more like you'll have your group of friends and you'll all kind of hang out, and then eventually there'll be a girl in the mix, and if you get on, then the next minute you'll be together. This whole dating process doesn't happen.
I love biker chicks!
Now what kind of an attitude is that, 'These things happen?' They only happen because this whole country is just full of people who, when these things happen, they just say, 'These things happen,' and that's why they happen! We gotta have control of what happens to us.
As a player, you have one responsibility, to focus yourself and be ready for the game. As a coach, your responsibility is to get 20 guys ready and have them all on the same page. If you can't get every guy ready every night, you're going to struggle.
Biker chicks want the bad boy.
Every year's going to be a what-if. That's the game of basketball. What if a guy turns his ankle? What if a guy gets in a car wreck coming to the arena? There are so many different aspects that could happen that nobody knows. Only the man upstairs knows.
I'm looking for a guy who can make me laugh, who knows exactly what he wants, who's ambitious, ready to start a family, ready to get married.
Earthquakes just happen. Tornadoes just happen. Your tongue does not just happen to fall into some other girl's mouth!
A lot of guys and people in our society think that chicks just love dudes with money. Chicks love dudes who are successful who happen to have money - do you know what I mean? Chicks are attracted to dudes that are doing their own thing.
But then you slammed a door handle into my gut. And when a girl does that to a guy; it means she likes him.
I just work hard and do what I've got to do and let my promoters and matchmakers handle that part. I basically tell them to get the guy that has the best record that wants to fight.
A lot of girls don't know how to get along, and they're always constantly in competition with each other, and everything is a huge fight. Every girl just wants to be better than every other girl.
I'm not into 'Let's go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday' - that's just not me. I'm a relationship kind of girl. I like a twosome. Some people get excited about being single. I don't.
That was probably the biggest adjustment for a lot of people... You have a ball-dominant guy like LeBron that makes plays for everybody. You gotta just be ready at any point because you might not get a shot the first 15 minutes and you might get three or four after that.
What intrigues me is that people kind of naturally want to label or pigeonhole the characters. They want to make it easy for themselves to go, "All right. There's the good guy, there's the bad guy, there's the girl. Okay, I get it now." But life isn't one-dimensional. The world isn't simply divided into good versus evil. I think we're all capable of both. So any time the hero does something I'm not crazy about, or the bad guy does something I can relate to, I'll find it more interesting.
